AC Tune-Ups
-
Once a year is the standard recommendation, and spring is the ideal time to do it. Scheduling before the cooling season begins means your system has been inspected and cleared before it faces the heavy demand of summer. If your system runs year-round as part of a heat pump setup, twice-yearly maintenance – once in spring and once in fall – is worth considering.
-
No. In fact, many manufacturer warranties require documented annual maintenance to remain valid. Our technicians provide a detailed invoice after every appointment, giving you a written record of service that satisfies most warranty documentation requirements.
-
It can, yes. A system with a clean filter, correct refrigerant charge, and properly functioning electrical components does not have to work as hard to cool your home. In a county like Middlesex, where central air conditioning runs consistently from late May through September, even a modest efficiency improvement can add up meaningfully on your monthly PSE&G or JCP&L bill over the course of a full cooling season.
-
Very little is required on your end. Make sure the area around your outdoor condenser unit is reasonably clear of debris, overgrown vegetation, or stored. Inside, ensure your indoor air handler is accessible. If you have any concerns about your system's recent performance, such as unusual sounds, inconsistent cooling by room, or a spike in your energy bill, jot them down so you can share them with the technician when they arrive.
